Trainee Accounts Administrator - £6.83-£9.50 per hour

Our clients work alongside the local authority and have an exciting new role for a Trainee Accounts/Cashier Administrator. This is an operations role that is responsible for processing cash ad payments for the local authority. Reporting to the team leader, the post holder will process cash and cheque payments, provide a counter service for all employees of this large organisation.

Main duties

  • Process Debit/  Credit card payments from telephone calls via portable payment machines
  • Responding to and answering queries in accordance with agreed timescales 
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Collection and processing of cash
  • Escalation of problems/issues as necessary within agreed timescales
  • Managing relationships with both internal and external customers


Essential skills required

  • High level of understanding and expertise with integrated accounts applications (SAP Finance experience would be desired)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good keyboard and data entry skills
  • Microsoft office applications
