FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER (Permanent)

The role will be based at home but you will be required to visit customers and clients sites and  respond to break down queries on equipment and routine servicing. You will be responsible for finding, assessing and addressing the issues.

The right candidate will have electrical knowledge, ideally a City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Electronic engineering. The equipment that my client supplies is all bespoke to them so you will receive an excellent training programme. Previous experience in field service engineering is preferred.

CNC SETTER / OPERATOR (Permanent)
£18000 + 1.24% Shift Allowance
Our Clients based closed to Hertford are  looking to employ a hard working individual in their busy machine shop.  You will be working on a weekly rotating 6.00am – 2.00pm, 2.00pm – 10.00pm shift.  You will be required to set and operate Hardinge and HAAS CNC machines and will be expected to programme machines for minor tasks. A knowledge of Fanuc controls would be an advantage. Training will be given but a good all round understanding of CNC machining is necessary.  You should be able to work to accurate tolerances in various materials, be able to interpret engineering drawings and inspect your own work from first off through to final inspection.  You will also be required to maintain the setting and running of more than one machine at any given time. From time to time you will be required to take part and contribute in Lean Manufacturing events.  These are necessary to streamline the efficiency of the day to day running of the manufacturing cells within the company. We are therefore looking for someone with the following attributes: 
  • Team Player who is also able to work on their own initiative as required.
  • Drive and ambition to succeed in you role.
  • Good house keeping and good knowledge of Health and Safety Procedures.
  • Understanding of 5s and Lean Manufacturing principles would be an advantage.
  • Reliability and willingness to learn are key.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to read Engineering drawings.
