My clients based near Hoddesdon specialise in the supply of mailroom systems and are seeking a Service Manager
Such as:
Desktop ink-jet printers
Industrial ink-jet printing systems
Desktop folding and inserting machines
Industrial high speed inserting systems
Label Affixers
Tabbing machines
Polywrapping equipment
Envelope sealing machines
You role will be to over see and manage a team of 6; an in-house engineer and 5 field engineers in various locations throughout the UK.
This new role will be for a person with service management experience together with a good knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment.
We need someone to be fully engaged within the service department and be able to make the department more streamlined and profitable.
Ideally this person will be located within daily travelling distance from the office although the person will need to visit some installations. Visits to suppliers will be required and some of these are located outside of the UK so foreign travel will be required.
Some other things needed :
Procedures for day to day running of the department
To be able to source spare parts (not always from the manufacturer)
Training - arranging for engineers and dealer’s engineers
To be tidy and orderly
To have authority and drive and ultimately gain respect

| STOCK CONTROL MANAGER (Permanent) |

In this role will provide support and direction on a day to day basis managing their own stock on site You will ensure sufficient items are in stock and provide accurate reports on a daily/weekly and monthly basis to Depots and suppliers. You will forecast stock levels and range reviews in conjunction with company policy and procedures. You will ensure the maintenance of stock accuracy to minimise wastage and effectively manage customer returns. You will attend and arrange meetings with internal customers and suppliers, taking a proactive approach to developing relationships and managing customers’ expectations and requirements. To be successful in this role you will need - Strong numerical skills, ability to carry out detailed analysis and forecasting
- Intermediate excel skills – must be able to create, and manipulate spreadsheets and formulae

| Our client based in Hertford seeks a Production supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of a newly formed product cell focusing on output, quality, waste, and costs. It is essential you are extremely ambitious and thrive on meeting regular targets for on-time delivery to their customers worldwide. You will need to be a pro-active person who pushes the boundaries to provide continuous improvement and be an agent for change as my client moves from a traditional batch manufacturing towards one piece product flow. You will need to have a great appreciation and experience in LEAN manufacturing as this will be central to the success of this Value Stream. Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment with recent experience in a supervisory role. Real hands on experience of LEAN manufacturing. Previous man management skills are essentialResponsibilities.
