Quality Control Manager   £38,000pa

• To ensure best practice intake, storage and distribution of all products, ensuring the safety, quality and legality of products
• Liaising with Stock Control as to the suitable rotation of products
•  Support for the Conveyor Line Team on product handling and quality issues
• Providing support for the environmental systems implemented within the Company, and ensure that any relevant environmental procedures are dealt with
• Ensuring that intake received at night is inspected to the same standard as day intake.
• Provide support for Goods In and the Night Operation Team on all quality issues
• To take a proactive approach to maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers whilst ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained.

Our clients based in Cheshunt are seeking a Senior Buyer with previous Chilled Foods and or Food Produce background.  In order to support their continued high performance in the Procurement function.   They require an experienced, dynamic and effective senior buyer to manage the delivery of chilled category strategies and optimize business expenditure and ensure the value of bought in goods and services are optimized to the overall business objectives.  You will also be responsible for management of financial and quality targets and standards, management of product sourcing, vendor assessment and contract management and long term supplier relationship management.

It is essential you have chilled food procurement experience in a dynamic fast paced business environment along with excellent negotiation skills.
